Authorities said a car fire in the San Pasqual Valley Sunday ignited brush before being put out.
The fire was reported around 1:25 p.m. on Bandy Canyon Road near Ysabel Creek Road, a dispatcher with the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said.
Firefighters with help from a helicopter fought the flames in an open area away from structures, he said.
The fire took about a half-hour to extinguish.
