SANTEE (CBS 8) - Firefighters knocked down a car fire that spread through the garage and into the attic of a home in Santee Monday.
It broke out early Monday afternoon at a house on Walden Court. Firefighters say the homeowner and his wife had just parked their SUV in the garage when they heard a popping noise. They came out to find the vehicle was on fire.
The homeowner suffered a minor burn. Firefighters had to cut holes in the roof of the house to get at the flames in the attic.
No word on how the fire started.
