SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - San Diego's Father Joe Carroll has been nominated to receive an award from the Medal of Honor Foundation.
Father Joe joins 22 other individuals up for the Citizen Service Before Self Honors.
He's the inspiration behind Father Joe's Villages, Southern California's largest homeless services provide. It provides 4,000 meals and cares for nearly 1,500 people every day.
Of the 23 finalists for the award, four will be honored at a ceremony on March 25 at Arlington National Cemetery.
