SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - An overturned trash truck in Kearny Mesa shut down the transition from westbound State Route 52 to southbound Interstate 15.
Southbound I-15 to eastbound SR 52 was also closed.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the driver took the transition road too fast, lost control and overturned.
He was carrying a full load of garbage to the Santee landfill. Tow trucks were brought in haul the truck away. And EDCO sent a crew to clean up the trash.
The driver suffered minor injuries.
Authorities report that the ramp was expected to be shut down until about 7:00 p.m.
