SAN DIEGO (CNS) - One person was killed and another injured Thursday when two vehicles collided on a Clairemont street.
The red SUV and older-model white Volkswagen Beetle crashed head-on in the 3600 block of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard shortly before 10:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.
One person, who was not immediately identified, died at the scene of the accident. Medics took another victim to a hospital for treatment of injuries of undetermined severity.
Officers closed the roadway in the area to allow for investigation and cleanup.
