CAMP PENDLETON (CBS 8) - Happy birthday to all U.S. Marines.
On Thursday, Camp Pendleton marked the 238th birthday of the Marine Corps with a massing of colors and tradition.
The birthday pageant included Marines dressed in period uniforms and re-enactments of key combat operations, and there was cake.
The traditional cake-cutting ceremony requires the first piece to be presented to the oldest Marine, and the second piece to the youngest.
