SCRIPPS RANCH (CBS 8) - Fire investigators are trying to figure out what caused a house fire in Scripps Ranch Monday night.
It happened in the 11500 block of Winding Ridge Drive near McKinney Court.
Neighbors called 911 when they noticed flames and heavy smoke coming out of an upstairs bedroom window.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
Firefighters say the home suffered an estimated $300,000 in damages.
