SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Heisman Trophy winner and former NFL star Herschel Walker stopped at MCRD Wednesday to talk to Marines and recruits about the challenges of overcoming injuries and trauma from combat.
"And I want to remove that stigma there is nothing wrong with them. What it is they had to face, things that we weren't brought up doin,” said Walker.
Since 2008, Walker has visited with thousands of service members and wounded warriors to encourage them to seek treatment for their issues, As he did when he revealed that he suffered from multiple personality disorder.
