SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The San Ysidro School District has a new superintendent.
Dr. Julio Fonseca will replace the interim superintendent Edward Velasquez starting July 1.
He was one of five finalist chosen from a pool of 51 applicants to interview for the job. Board members unanimously approved Fonseca's 3-year contract on Thursday.
