Cars damaged after Land Rover catches fire in Chula Vista

Crews were called to extinguish a car fire in a Chula Vista parking lot on Sunday.

SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) — Crews were called to extinguish a car fire in a Chula Vista parking lot on Sunday.

The woman who owns the Land Rover that caught fire called for help just after 9:30 a.m. after pulling into a lot in the 600 block of J Street with the engine smoking.

Raw video above shows the flames roaring in the front portion of the car and crews arriving to put it out.

Flames from the Land Rover damaged at least one other car that was parked nearby.

No injuries were reported.

Chula Vista police officers stated that this was the third vehicle fire this weekend on the west side of Chula Vista.
