SAN DIEGO — News 8 wants to extend a very warm welcome to our brand-new morning anchor, Stella Escobedo. Stella will be anchoring the 4:30-9 a.m. show as well as the 11 a.m. show.
She is a proud USC Trojan with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Stella comes to News 8 after a short stint as a west coast correspondent for CBS Newspath. She has also spent time in various anchor roles in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona, Butte, Montana, and Palm Springs.
She was born in Russia and came to the United States when she was 7 years old.
When she isn’t working, you’ll find her and her husband and daughter exploring the city, hanging out on the beach and exploring different restaurants!
