GRANADA (AP) - An explosion at a fireworks warehouse in Colombia on Sunday knocked a local cameraman off his feet and filled the sky with whizzes, bangs and a display of dazzling colors.
The explosion at the warehouse in Granada, just south-west of the capital Bogota, sent bystanders rushing for cover as thousands of fireworks shot out in all directions.
Two people suffered minor injuries and 17 homes were damaged.
The warehouse belongs to a family business which has been putting on pyrotechnic shows for 18 years both in Colombia and abroad.
It is thought there could have been up to 22,046 pounds of fireworks stored in the warehouse.
Local officials are investigating the cause of the explosion.
