SAN DIEGO (CNS) - An 85-year-old man who might have been suffering from a medical problem crashed his car off a Lomita-area street and into the front of a home this afternoon, then died, police reported.
The accident in the 400 block of Braun Avenue was reported shortly after 1:30 p.m., according to San Diego police.
The driver was unresponsive when officers and medics arrived, SDPD Officer Dan Lasher said. The man, whose name was withheld pending family notification, died at the crash scene.
It was unclear if he had been hurt in the wreck, which sent his vehicle partway into the house, or if he was suffering from some type of health problem that caused the wreck, Lasher said.
No other injuries were reported.
