SAN DIEGO — Sunday's third annual picnic at the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park was a blend of rain and shine, but nothing dampened the spirits of attendees eager for music and community.
"What's not to like about the Rady Shell? Beautiful views, peaceful and magical," said visitor Toni Trinidad.
Two other best friends joined hundreds of others at the picnic, armed with umbrellas, picnic baskets and charcuterie, and eagerly awaiting the reveal of the 2024 concert line up.
"We came because we want to see the lineup for 2024 and map out all the concerts this year and beat our record last year!" smiled visitor Beverely Edwards.
Concerts for this year’s season include performances with the San Diego Symphony, artists like John Legend, Jason Mraz, Harry Connick Junior, some of the greatest Broadway talent, rock tributes and more.
People agree the venue is one of a kind and are ecstatic for the line up this year.
"I feel good energy out here and I'm just really happy! It will be nice to enjoy beautiful music in chilly weather," laughed visitor Chantel Santos.
"I think its important to support the arts and enjoy the arts San Diego style," said Trinidad.
