SAN DIEGO — Two of the biggest music legends in history, Billy Joel and Sting, are taking over Petco Park in Downtown San Diego for one night only this weekend.
The two iconic musicians will each perform a setlist of their most beloved songs on Saturday, April 13, the only West Coast stop on their tour. The Grammy Award winners will treat tens of thousands of fans to an unforgettable night of music.
Here’s what you need to know before you go.
Billy Joel and Sting
- The gates at Petco Park open Saturday at 5:30 p.m., the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
- A merchandise tent will be located on Petco Park's exterior located at Tenth Avenue and Park Blvd.
- A merchandise trailer will open at 3:30 p.m.
- Petco Park is a cashless venue
Prohibited items
- Petco Park has a new bag policy. Petco Park prohibits all bags except for: Single-compartment clear plastic bags not exceeding 12" X 6" X 12" and infant and medical bags, and clutches and purses no larger than 5" X 7".
- Guests are not permitted to bring in any outside food, drinks. Including sealed and refillable water bottles
Getting to Petco Park
- Billy Joel and Sting's show is one night only. Tens of thousands of guests are expected in Downtown San Diego and nearby neighborhoods.
- Padres parking lots will be open starting at 1 p.m. for pre-purchased passes
- Day-of parking is subject to availability
- Tailgating is prohibited in the Padres' Tailgate Lot for this event
- MTS Trolley is the recommended way to get to the show
Getting inside
If you have tickets on the Floor/Field:
- Guests with floor tickets (designated as sections A1 – A7 and B2 – B6) must enter at the Gaslamp Breezeway located on 7th Avenue and K Street for floor access.
- Guests with floor tickets (designated as sections A1 – A7 and B2 – B6) will require a specific floor access wristband prior to floor entry. Floor wristbands are available at the Gaslamp Breezeway located on 7th Avenue and K Street.
If you have tickets in the Seating Bowl
- Gaslamp Gate located at the intersection of K Street and 7th Avenue.
- East Village Gate located at the intersection of K Street and 10th Avenue.
- Park Blvd Gate located at the intersection of Park Boulevard and 10th Avenue.
- Home Plate Gate located at the corner of Park Boulevard and Tony Gwynn Drive.
If you have a suite:
- Guests who purchased a suite can enter any of the designated seating bowl entrances beginning at 5:30 PM. Suites will remain open (30) minutes following the conclusion of the event.
