SAN DIEGO — The owner and minds behind Downtown San Diego’s popular night club Side Bar, are embarking on their next venture: a luxury concept cocktail and karaoke bar.
Fourth-generation bar owner Frankie Sciuto's new cocktail bar called Gaslamplighter is described as a “sophisticated, intimate, 1920s-inspired experience in the heart of the city’s iconic Gaslamp Quarter.” The swanky karaoke bar will marry cocktails, music and live performers under one roof.
Gaslamp’s newest karaoke bar located at 536 Market Street will also feature classic, luxurious cocktails with a twist and and “old school sign-up sheet at the DJ booth.”
Gaslamplighter said the bar will offer the visitors the chance to witness unexpected, unplanned performances by local, San Diego stars, in addition to underground talents and renowned performers.
“After working through the ranks in the nightlife industry from a barback to a bar owner, I am incredibly proud to bring this concept to life. My team and I worked tirelessly to curate a space that delivers a luxury, speakeasy-esqe experience in the heart of Gaslamp Quarter. From the menus to the décor to the live entertainment, every detail of Gaslamplighter was carefully crafted,” said Frankie Sciuto, owner of Gaslamplighter.
Gaslamplighter is a 1,600-square-foot venue and is located at the same site as the former Ciro’s Pizzeria and Beerhouse.
The new cocktail destination will offer bar seating and private tables in a candlelit environment.
