SAN DIEGO — A man was shot Thursday afternoon at a trolley stop at San Diego State University, police confirm.
According to San Diego Police, the call about a man being shot at 5100 College Avenue near the trolley came in around 4:38 p.m. Thursday.
San Diego State officials sent out alerts saying two suspects have been apprehended as of 6:25 p.m. One is still at large. They say the suspects are not affiliated with SDSU and at least one person arrested is a minor.
It is unclear what lead to the shooting.
The victim was transported to the hospital, police say. The extent of the victim's injuries are unknown.
SDSU confirmed the incident is not related to the brush fire that broke out in the area earlier Thursday afternoon. Hardy Elementary School students who were evacuated to he Viejas Arena at SDSU were forced to relocate after the shooting to ensure their safety.
All classes, events ad activities have been canceled for the rest of Halloween night.
