A woman killed in a collision between two SUVs on a rain- slick road near Dos Picos County Park was identified today as 54-year-old Cindy Spicuzza.

RAMONA (CBS 8) - A woman killed in a collision between two SUVs on a rain- slick road near Dos Picos County Park was identified today as 54-year-old Cindy Spicuzza.

Spicuzza was sitting in the back seat of a Hyundai when the crash occurred Monday.

The accident occurred shortly after 1 p.m., when an 18-year-old motorist driving too fast for the wet conditions lost control of her southbound 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer on state Route 67 in the Ramona area, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The vehicle, which was traveling at about 60 mph, began sliding sideways across the pavement and crossed directly into the path of an oncoming 2016 Hyundai Tucson driven by a 25-year-old woman, CHP public-affairs Officer Kevin Pearlstein said.

The resulting broadside crash near Cloudy Moon Drive left both drivers injured, along Spicuzza and the 26-year-old driver of the with two passengers in the , ages 26 and 54.

Medics took Spicuzza and the other women, all of them Ramona residents, to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido.
