SAN DIEGO — Brian White is a multi-skilled journalist and reporter for CBS 8 in San Diego, California.

Photographer turned reporter, Brian now delivers on-air stories about issues important to San Diegans for our daily newscasts. A native Californian, Brian also lived in Miami, FL before earning a degree in Film & Media Studies at the University of Florida. He worked at the ABC affiliate in Gainesville, FL as a photographer before moving to San Diego.
Before becoming a reporter/MSJ, Brian spent five years serving on the Pacific Beach Town Council (PBTC) and one year on the PB Planning Group. While president of PBTC (2019-2020), he emceed monthly town hall meetings, organized volunteer weed removal and trash cleanup events, and initiated a power washing program, fueled by community donations, to clean dirty sidewalks along the main shopping district.
Brian likes tackling stories about neighborhood issues and hearing diverse opinions and perspectives. For fun, he enjoys surfing, biking, and watching Dateline and Star Trek ‘TNG’ reruns. Got a story? Hit him up! Contact: bwhite@cbs8.com.
