Weekend Watch November 15-17 | Things to do in San Diego

As always, there is so much to do this weekend in San Diego! Here are a few things you won't want to miss.

SAN DIEGO — There is plenty to do around San Diego County this weekend. Here are a few events to consider!

San Diego Gulls: Military Appreciation Night 

  • November 16 at Pechanga Arena.
  • Pregame tailgate from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., game starts at 6 p.m.
  • Military members can skate on the ice after the game for FREE, limited to first 100 people to sign up at the game, skates are provided at no cost.
  • Free Navy-themed Hat Giveaway for the first 8,000 fans in attendance

World Design Convocation Ceremony

  • November 16 at UC San Diego’s Epstein Family Amphitheater.
  • Event starts at 6:30 p.m.
  • Hosted by the World Design Organization® (WDO), which promotes the profession of industrial design.
  • Event celebrates the WDO officially handing the title of World Design Capital® from San Diego Tijuana to Frankfurt RheinMain
  • Free event with fun activities for all ages, live music, and tasty bites.

Punk in the Park

  • November 16 at Snapdragon Stadium's Thrive Park.
  • Event is from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., with beer tasting from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Music festival will feature eight bands, including Streetlight Manifesto, Face To Face, and Manic Hispanic.

Winter Wonder at Belmont Park

  • Currently ongoing until January 5th.
  • The amusement park is offering seasonal treats, holiday tunes from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, and holiday face painting every Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
