I tried the mixiote (marinated lamb) taco and the pozole verde at El Borrego Restaurant in the heart of El Cajon Boulevard.
El Borrego is owned by Rodnia Novarro and her mom, Rosario. They've been running the restaurant for about 15-years! Mom and daughter are from Guerrero and say they wanted to bring the traditional cuisine of Southern Mexico to San Diego... including barbacoa and green pozole.
