Celebrate and Savor the Magic of the Season | Lightscape Returns to the San Diego Botanic Garden

Lightscape runs most evenings through January 1. Most nights sold out in 2022. Sponsored by: San Diego Botanic Garden

SAN DIEGO — Prepare to be dazzled and get ready to see the San Diego Botanic Garden in a whole new light.  Lightscape is back and reimagined for the holiday season.

With more than a million lights, the garden comes to life with festive sights and sounds that merge nature and art along a magical, mile-long trail that is all aglow with artistic installations.

“We are so excited at the San Diego Botanic Garden to have Lightscape back for the second year. These are all-new installations. If you came last year and liked it, you’re going to love it this year, ” said Ari Novy, CEO and President of the San Diego Botanic Garden. “And if you missed it last year, boy this is the year to get started at Lightscape.”

The internationally-acclaimed light show is crafted by lighting artists from all over the world. It’s a botanical and lighting feast for the senses. And we are fortunate to be one of only five locations in the United States to host Lightscape at San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas.

Lightscape runs most evenings through January 1.  Most nights sold out in 2022.

“We absolutely encourage people to get tickets as fast as they can,” said Novy. “We sold out most of the prime dates last year. You won’t be disappointed.”
