SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The hedgehog featured on this CBS News 8 Zoo Day segment is an albino hedgehog, but they can also be light brown or black and are covered with thousands of spines.
According to the San Diego Zoo, their belly, face and neck are covered with coarse hair and some have a mask across their eyes.
They also have an excellent sense of smell due to their long snout and wet nose.
