Navy brother and sister reunited

A Navy brother and sister who haven't seen each other in more than 30 years reunited in person Friday at Naval Medical Center San Diego.

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A Navy brother and sister who haven't seen each other in more than 30 years reunited in person Friday at Naval Medical Center San Diego.

Cindy Murray last saw her brother Robert Williamson in the late 1970s, when her father and mother split up. She has searched for him for years, but finally contacted her estranged father, who told her Williamson was also in the Navy.

Murray enlisted the help of her chief petty officer, who found Williamson. The two were on the phone within 30 minutes. With the reunion came new family members.

"I don't have any other family other than my aunt…I have a distant cousin, so this is wonderful to be reconnected, to have family," Murray said.

The two are now in constant contact through emails, social media and phone calls.
