SAN DIEGO — 'Tis the season to shop small! Small Business Saturday in Escondido returns this weekend just in time for holiday shopping.
On Saturday, Nov. 26, the Museums & Arts Growing Escondido Culture (MAGEC), the Escondido Downtown Business Association, the City of Escondido, and Visit Escondido are coming together to help small businesses in the downtown district with a full day of shopping with discounts, special offers and prizes.
Did you know that for every dollar spent at a small business in the U.S., approximately 67 cents stay in the local community? Shopping small on Small Business Saturday has a big impact on the entire community.
Holiday shoppers can take part in a Holiday Bingo Game. Bingo cards with a list and map of contributing businesses can be picked up in Heritage Garden Park at the corner of E. Grand and Juniper between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Shoppers can enjoy holiday carolers, festive decorations, art activities, photo booth, and more.
Participating business hours range from 6:00 a.m. to midnight. Early birds can grab breakfast and pick-up Bingo card and map at Sunny Side Kitchen (155 S Orange St, Escondido, 92025).
Shoppers can also catch Escondido’s Downtown Lighting Ceremony at 4:45 p.m. in the Maple Street Plaza, with hot chocolate, cider, and treats.
Completed Bingo cards will be entered in a drawing for an opportunity to win prize packages donated by participating local businesses.
