CAMP PENDLETON (CBS 8) - There was a change of command for the 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade at Camp Pendleton Thursday.
Major General Melvin G. Spiese relinquished command of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade to Brigadier General John J. Broadmeadow.
The change of command ceremony is a formal military tradition conducted before the assembled company of the command.
