SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Three cruise ships are scheduled to pull into San Diego at daybreak Tuesday, prompting Port of San Diego officials to warn of potentially heavy traffic near the downtown waterfront.

Holland America's Zuiderdam and Westerdam will berth at opposite sides of the B Street Pier, and Celebrity Cruises' Infinity will tie up at the north side of the Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier, according to the port.

The ocean liners are scheduled to arrive between 6 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.

The Zuiderdam will bring more than 2,000 passengers, the Westerdam more than 1,600, and the Infinity more than 2,100. Several hundred are set to come and go from each vessel.

Port officials warned that the cruise ship activity, combined with construction work to revitalize the bayfront's appearance, could cause heavy traffic.
