SAN DIEGO ( CBS 8 ) - A local brewery is paying tribute to Mister Padre Tony Gwynn.
Alesmith Brewery is releasing a limited amount of its San Diego Pale Ale 3-94 in six packs.
The beer takes its name from Gwynn's famous 1994 campaign, in which he hit a .394.
The owner of the brewery tells us Gwynn wanted a specific flavor profile and he personally worked with him to get the beer just right.
The San Diego Pale Ale 3-94 debuted on June 6, just ten days before Gwynn's death.
