SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The cat that was rescued from the jaws of a coyote is home again, but still has a long road to recovery.
Earlier this week, "Bandit" the cat was snatched by a coyote off the patio of his Tierrasanta home.
One of his owners, Lauren, jumped a fence and chased down the sprinting coyote, scaring the animal into dropping her cat.
Bandit's jaw will be wired shut for the next three weeks, following a surgery to repair the broken bones.
Saturday, his owners are thanking everyone for all their help, prayers and donations.
"We received enough donations to pay for all of the medical bills. If there's anything left at all, then that'll go back to Face For Pets, to help somebody else."
Face For Pets is an organization that helps raise money for sick and injured animals whose owners can't afford necessary medical care.
