CHULA VISTA (CBS8) - The Chula Vista Police Department says thank-you to those who put it all on the line.
On Thursday, the department held its annual awards and recognition ceremony. A number of sworn officers and civilians were honored for their extraordinary actions in helping others out of life-threatening situations.
Thursday's honorees included a college student who used his car to block a drunk driver with a child in his car and two officers who used CPR to keep an elderly man breathing until help arrived.
