SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The parents of slain Mesa College student, Luis Santos, will get their day in court on Wednesday.
Fred and Kathy Santos filed a lawsuit seeking to reverse former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's 11th-hour order to shorten the murder sentence for Esteban Nunez.
Nunez was sentenced to 16 years in prison for voluntary manslaughter and assault with a deadly weapon.
Schwarzenegger shortened Nunez's sentence in half, an action widely criticized because of Schwarzenegger's relationship with Nunez's father, former assembly speaker, Fabian Nunez.
