SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego police asked for the public's help Wednesday finding the person or people who vandalized 17 vehicles in the Scripps Ranch area this month.
The vehicles were vandalized while parked on Elderwood Lane between February 12-15, according to police, who said most of the vandalism occurred late at night or early in the morning. Damage ranged from scratches to broken windows.
The perpetrator -- or perpetrators -- fled in a late-model, dark-colored Nissan Xterra with a roof rack, police said.
Anyone with information about the vandalism spree was asked to call police at (858) 538-8000 or San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
