EL CAJON (CNS) - An El Cajon SWAT team accompanied DEA agents as they executed a search warrant at a Hell's Angels clubhouse in the East County city early today but no one was found inside.
Authorities went to the clubhouse off El Cajon Boulevard and Johnson Avenue in the pre-dawn hours, according to El Cajon police Lt. Randy Soulard.
He declined to comment further, saying the DEA was the lead agency in the case.
The DEA went to the clubhouse looking for about a dozen individuals associated with the Hell's Angels, DEA Special Agent Amy Roderick said. All have violent criminal histories, she said.
More raids were possible as authorities continue to search for those individuals, according to Roderick.
During this morning's raid, there were reports of explosions in the area. Police said the loud booms heard by neighbors were diversionary flash-bang grenades detonated as agents and officers moved into the clubhouse.
