RANCHO SANTA FE (CNS) - Homicide detectives Monday investigated the death of a man whose body was found outside a residence on the western outskirts of Rancho Santa Fe.
The death in the 4600 block of Sun Valley Rd. was reported late Friday morning, according to San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Larry Nesbit.
There were "some suspicious circumstances" at the scene but the death was not classified as a homicide until Saturday after an autopsy was completed, Nesbit said in a statement.
The cause of death was not immediately released, nor was the man's identity.
