SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - As we humans continue to deal with this heat wave, County Animal Services is reminding you to watch out for your dogs and not leave them alone in cars.
Animal control officers say they have responded to 95 calls of dogs trapped in hot vehicles. They will break windows to get to the animals if their lives are in danger, and their owners could face animal cruelty charges.
Animal services says to never leave an animal in a car if temperatures hover around 85 degrees.
