Investigators say arson is to blame for a fire that ripped through a teacher's workroom at Aviara Oaks Elementary School in Carlsbad.
The blaze broke out around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. Flames had fully engulfed the structure, before being quickly extinguished by firefighters.
A cause has not yet been determined, but the investigation did reveal that it was the work of an arsonist.
Damage has been estimated at more than a quarter-million dollars.
Classes are expected to continue as scheduled.
