Fun & games for all as GamerCon invades San Diego

San Diego’s original fan gaming convention, GamerCon is returning to San Diego between January 31st to Febraury 3rd at the Tenth Avenue Arts Center.

SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) - San Diego’s original fan gaming convention, GamerCon is returning to San Diego between January 31st to Febraury 3rd at the Tenth Avenue Arts Center. 

The convention will take up all four stories of the center.

The 1st floor will be the video game hall where there will be a PC Gaming LAN put on by LanDiego. Systems will include Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo systems. There will also be a Retrocade where you can play different 80’s and 90’s arcade classics.

The 2nd Floor will feature an Art Gallery that will feature artwork from San Diego and Southern California based artists. There will also be a secondary art gallery that will feature different cosplayers. 

The 3rd floor will feature Lich’s Tomb. There will be miniatures gaming and role-playing games.

The 4th Floor will consist of a Dragon’s Hall and an UnPub Tavern. This floor will consist of board games such as Munchkin Collectible Card Game, Zombie Dice and Car Wars: The Card Game

In the rooftop lounge there will be workshops, contests and different gaming demonstrations held. 

Brendan MacNeil from GamerCon along with some of his gamer friends joined Morning Extra to demonstrate some of the different activities that people can take part in.
