HILLCREST (CBS 8) - The city of Hillcrest is hosting its 30th annual CityFest block party Sunday.
More than 100,000 people are expected to attend the free outdoor event that features carnival rides, a kid zone and more than 250 street vendors.
The event started back in 1984 to commemorate the rebuilding of the famous Hillcrest sign.
After dark, the party will continue for the CityFest night portion.
There will be a special anniversary cake for everyone, and those who are 21 and up can enjoy a beer garden, local DJ's and a dance party until 11 p.m.
