ENCINITAS (CNS) - Part of an ocean-front bluff above Leucadia State Beach has collapsed, but no injuries or damage to homes on top of the ridge were reported.
The cliff in the 1500 block of Neptune Avenue gave way about 3 p.m. Wednesday, Encinitas lifeguard Capt. Larry Giles said.
The site of the earth failure was just below another one that occurred last month, according to Giles. There were no immediate indications that structures at the top of the bluff were threatened by the latest collapse, he said.
