SAN DIEGO — A car struck and killed a man Monday morning in Mira Mesa.
The pedestrian was crossing Mira Mesa Boulevard mid-block just west of Black Mountain Road when the westbound Acura hit him shortly before 6:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.
The victim, whose name was not immediately available, died at the scene, Officer Dino Delimitros said.
The fatality forced a roughly three-hour closure of the westbound lanes of the street in the area.
