VALLEY CENTER (CNS) - About 30 iPads were stolen from the Oak Glen High School in Valley Center, a San Diego sheriff's sergeant said Sunday.

Deputies were dispatched to Oak Glen High School at 10:20 p.m. Saturday to investigate unusual noises inside the closed campus at 14172 West Oak Glen Road, said sheriff's Sgt. Joseph Ellis.

Deputies conducted a systematic search of the entire school with the aid of a canine, Ellis said.

Deputies discovered the school's perimeter fence had been compromised and one of the classroom doors had been unlocked, he said.

"It was determined that approximately 30 iPads had been stolen during the burglary," Ellis said. "The total loss is estimated at approximately $15,000."

There was no suspect information, he said.

Anyone with information is urged to call the sheriff's non-emergency line, at (858) 565-5200 or you can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 by calling Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
