SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The boyfriend of a woman found dead inside a Coronado mansion is speaking about the tragedy.
Jonah Shacknai's girlfriend Rebecca Zahau was found naked and bound last month. Investigators still don't know whether it was murder or suicide.
Days before her death, Shacknai's six-year-old son was hospitalized after an accident at the home. He was pronounced dead a week later.
Shacknai is the CEO of a Scottsdale-based pharmaceuticals company.
Before getting back to work, he took time out during a conference call, to thank everyone for their support.
"Before I begin, I want to express a personal note of appreciation-- shareholders have provided me with wonderful encouragement. Had a difficult time, tragedy losses, I couldn't imagine experiencing in a lifetime," Shacknai said.
Shacknai did not specifically mention the string of events that happened at the mansion last month, but he did say what has happened has taken a toll on him and his family.
Shacknai told shareholders he plans to return to work full-time within the next couple weeks.
