SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) – The King Tides continued to pound the shoreline Thursday and caused flooding in parts of San Diego County.
The high tides flooded parts of Point Loma, including Harbor Drive. Residents first thought a broken water main flooded the street, but the high tide had pushed the ocean water up through the storm drains and into the roadway.

The King Tide also caused similar problems in the Midway District earlier this week.
Meanwhile, dozens of people gathered at Sunset Cliffs Thanksgiving morning to watch one of the highest astronomical tides of the year, as the water surged under the Ocean Beach Pier and crashed up against the cliffs.
The high tides arrived Tuesday and are expected to last through the week.
