LA MESA (CBS 8) - Fire investigators are looking into what caused a garage in La Mesa to go up in flames.
Firefighters were called to the home in the 4300 block of Gordon Way at around 8:30 a.m.
The fire started in the garage, but the door to the main house was closed, which helped to keep the flames from spreading. Crews put out the fire in less than 20 minutes.
Everyone inside the home made it out safely.
Parts of the roof were burned, but officials say the family won't have to find another place to stay.
Damages are still being estimated.
