When you hear the name Charles Fox, his name alone might not spark your memory, but his music is heard everywhere.
We've been inviting his music into our homes for decades, with some of the greatest theme songs in TV history, songs like the Loveboat, Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley.
I had the pleasure of sitting down with Grammy and Emmy award winning composer, Charles Fox. But I couldn't help but be surprised by how he got his start.
"The first thing I did for TV was Worldwide Sports. That was a break," he said.
Fox is now sharing his life stories and musical journeys in a new book called "Killing Me Softly."
With a forward by jazz and R&B legend, Roberta Flack, he says this book is a way for him to give thanks to those who helped shape his career.
"The reason I have this book today is because we found, in my mother's dresser drawer a few years ago, a shoe box. In that shoe box were all the letters I wrote home, but many of them, many of them the readers will see a feeling of indebtedness for my teacher."
