SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. — A 4.5 magnitude earthquake hit near an unincorporated area of far East County San Diego on Sunday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Society. The USGS reported the earthquake hit nearly 11 miles southwest of Ocotillo Wells around 3:07 p.m.
The earthquake was felt all over San Diego County with reports everywhere from Santee to Ocean Beach.
