LOGAN HEIGHTS - San Diego Police have arrested five teenagers in connection to a deadly stabbing in Logan Heights, the department announced on Saturday.
The stabbing happened just after 4 p.m. on Friday. Police say the victim, a Hispanic male in his late teens, got into a confrontation with the five suspects on a trolley platform at the 32nd & Commercial Street station.
The group followed the victim down the stairs to Imperial Avenue, where police say they attacked and stabbed him.
Police found the victim on the sidewalk along Imperial Avenue suffering from at least one stab wound. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
Officers, with the help of MTS Security and La Mesa Police, found the suspects at about 5:45 p.m. at 4700 Spring Street, near the La Mesa Boulevard Trolley Station, took them into custody and booked them into Juvenile Hall for murder.
The suspects are all described as Hispanic. One is 17 years old, one is 16 years old, and three others are 15 years old.
The name of the victim has not yet been released.
