SAN DIEGO — A 21-year-old man was hospitalized Thursday following a shooting in the La Presa area of Spring Valley, authorities said.
Dispatchers received multiple calls shortly after 10:20 p.m. Wednesday from people reporting the sound of gunshots on Presioca Street north of Harness Street, San Diego County Sheriff's Lt. Mike Rand said.
A short time later, dispatchers received another call from a person in the area reporting that a man had walked up to their residence and was suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Rand said.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening, the lieutenant said.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting were under investigation.
No suspect descriptions were immediately available.
