CARLSBAD, Calif. — Unprecedented rains throughout the Southern California region are bound to help the Flower Fields in Carlsbad 'Spring into Color' this year.
Book your ticket for the March 1 opening now — we hear the first bloom of the season has arrived. It opening is San Diegans way of knowing spring has arrived in Southern California. Act quickly though, the fields are only staying open through May 12. The fields and the attractions on the property are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and are located at 5704 Paseo Del Norte, Carlsbad, CA 92008.
The 55-acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers were cultivated nearly 85 years ago by a horticulturist that settled in the region in the 1920s and are considered a national jewel.
Dogs and drones are not allowed on the premises, so leave so leave the furry and flying friends at home. Cameras are allowed, but anything beyond a tri-pod requires a photoshoot reservation.
How much does it cost to go to the flower fields?
There's a discount for those looking to go opening day, but generally it'll cost $23 for adults, $21 for seniors and military. Kids up to 10 years old get in for $14 a pop.
