SAN DIEGO — Chula Vista is paving the way for new businesses to take flight. Entrepreneurs can coordinate with economic development team members to assist in opening a business, obtaining a business license and permits, or navigating the development process.
They can even help new businesses get started or help current businesses expand. They also provide resources including technical assistance, referrals, and help with hiring staff.
"We will be your personal bureaucrat, walk you through how to get your business license, to do improvements, help guide you every step of that process while being as business-friendly as possible," said Chula Vista Economic Development Manager, Miranda Evans.
All you have to do is simply send an email to Business@chulavista.gov and they offer free guidance within 48 hours the rest of the way.
Evans said last year the team helped 300 businesses hit the ground running.
While this initiative has been around for several years, Chula Vista is now offering a new digital business resources guide that provides a wide range of information for entrepreneurs. The guide received an Excellence in Economic Development award this year.
"We want them to feel supported and to be as business-friendly as possible leading up to Small Business Saturday," said Evans.
Small Business Saturday is November 25th. Chula Vista plans to celebrate and support small businesses heading into the holiday season.
